Schöntaler Scheuer, Seminar- und Gästehaus - Backnang

Ein weiteres Mal war ich für 4 Wochen in der Schöntaler Scheuer in Oberschöntal.
Das Apartment Van Gogh wurde frisch renoviert, blieb aber seinem mit dem traditionellen Stil treu.
Der Ort ist ruhig, die Atmosphäre und die Haltung der Menschen sind wirklich schön.
Geografisch in der Nähe von Stuttgart und nur wenige Minuten von der Stadt Backnang entfernt, bietet dieses ruhige und friedliche Dorf in den Hügeln viele Wanderwege, bewaldete Gebiete und einige farbenfrohe Sonnenuntergänge/Sonnenaufgänge auf den Obstgärten, Weinbergen und der hügeligen Landschaft der Einheimischen.
Der Besitzer, Heinz Tress, ist sehr gastfreundlich und verbrachte einige Zeit damit, mich die lokale Spezialität und Kultur entdecken zu lassen.

One more time, I stayed at Schoentaler Scheuer in Oberschontal for 4 weeks.
The apartment (Van Gogh) was freshly remodeled with the traditional style of the original massive wood beam.
The place is quiet, the atmosphere and people’s ethics are really nice.
Geographically close to Stuttgart, and minutes from the city of Backnang, this quiet and peaceful village located in the hills, offers many hiking trails, wooded areas and some colorful sunset/sunrise on the locals orchards, vineyards, and hilly countryside.
The owner, Heinz Tress is really welcoming and spent some time to make me discover local specialty and culture.

Ich war Übernachtungsgast in der Schöntaler Scheuer und alles war zu meiner Zufriedenheit - Ausstattung, Sauberkeit, Service. Auch die Aktion von Herrn Tress wegen Ruhestörung durch alkoholbeseelter Gäste fand ich sehr zuvorkommend.

Zimmer soweit in Ordnung. Eigentümer ist leider nicht der Kundenfreundlichste. Grundsätzlich wird nur auf das Kapital geschaut. Alles andere ist Nebensache. Fällt persönlich somit leider durch.

I roomed at Schoentaler Scheuer for many years. My room, Van Gogh, was the most wonderful of all; tiny but absolutely beautiful. Being that I am American, the fact that Herr Tress is fluent in English was very helpful. The Scheuer is situated on beautiful rolling hills above the picturesque city of Backnang, Germany. It is surrounded by orchards and farms. I would highly recommend the Scheuer if you are having a seminar, family gathering or reunion, or if you just want to stay for the natural beauty of the area. There are great spaces available both indoors and outside in the beautiful yards and the courtyard is amazing in it's own right. I cannot say enough good things about the facility or Herr Tress. I would give it six stars on a five star rating system!

I came to Germany for a 6-week project and luckily, I stayed at “Schontaler Scheuer” in Oberschontal. I travel a lot and sometimes I have been places where I wouldn’t want to go back. It’s not the case here, this place is wonderful!
The beautiful “Mansion” with local traditional architecture style propose all modern comfort. Massive wood beam, coble stone, antiques items, numerous plants……. make this hearty place enjoyable. Also, the rooms/apartments are really clean, and I enjoy the quietness of the thick walls. The balcony, the numerous windows and skylights offer natural sunlight for clarity. All these details add up to good mood and positive attitude!
Located on top of a hill, Oberschontal a charming village offer multiple views and some unforgettable sceneries like colorful sunrise and sunset on the rural countryside.
Backnang a medium size city is just 5-6 km away with a variety of store where you can find all your needs.
A Schnapps distillery “Brennwert” is just 50 meters away. They offer Schnapps and Gin testing and explain their ancestral distillation process.
Washing machine and dryer are also available. It’s always nice to do laundry at home instead of dealing with a laundry mat.
Heinz, the owner, is really nice and easy going. He explained me different topic and history proper to the area.
If you decide to stay at Schontaler Scheuer, ENJOY !!!
